In the 2025 Summer Best Buy Awards sponsored by HiVi, a leading AV magazine published by Stereo Sound Publishing Inc., the following five models won first place in the direct-view display category: AQUOS XLED 4K mini LED TV <4T-C50HP2> in category 1 (LCD, 50 inches and below), AQUOS XLED TV <4T-C55HP1> in category 2 (LCD, 51 to 60 inches), AQUOS XLED TV <4T-C65HP1> in category 3 (LCD, 61 to 70 inches), AQUOS XLED <4T-C75HP1> in category 4 (LCD, 71 inches and above), and AQUOS OLED 4K OLED TV <4T-C42HQ2> in category 5 (OLED, 50 inches and below).
The 2025Summer Best Buy selects the true "best buy" models by categorizing AV products currently in the Japanese market according to genre and price range. The selection was made by 11 members(in no particular order), including selection committee chairman Reiji Asakura, a critic active in HiVi and other AV media, Haruo Ushio, Yoshio Obara, Nobuo Kameyama, Osamu Takatsu, Kazutoyo Torii, Hisaaki Hijikata, Yosuke Fujiwara, Koji Yamamoto, Iori Yoshida, and Tadashi Yamanouchi.
