Let us introduce one of our customers pioneered the adoption of this easy-to-read and easy-to-install ePoster.

The Nobuhara Clinic in Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture, was quick to introduce the ePoster EP-C251. The clinic switched from paper to the ePoster to display information about the status of the medical examination status reception opening time etc. to patients.

*2 The use of a mobile battery is recommended to be connected only when rewriting.

The product includes an AC adapter exclusively for rewriting.

5 to 6 images to be displayed on that day are created by PC and transferred a dedicated smartphone application, which are transferred to the ePoster via Bluetooth to inform visitors.

Please refer to the case study site for more details on the background and effect of installing this system.

Rewriting is easy

As mentioned above, the system offers“paper-like advantages”, such as flexible installation options and zero power consumption while maintaining the displayed image. However, beyond what paper can provide, a big advantage is that the displayed information can be updated easily. Here, we would like to introduce how people at Nobuhara Clinic actually rewrites image data using a dedicated smartphone application.

■Rewriting image data of ePoster main unit via Bluetooth from a smartphone

Install the “EPD Assistant Tool”, a dedicated AndroidOS application (provided free of charge), on your smartphone.

After opening the application, proceed in the following order: pairing Bluetooth with the ePoster main unit, and transferring image data (EP-C251 recommended resolution: 3,200 x 1,800 pixels) saved on the smartphone in advance.

【Pairing】

Pairing

Connect the ePoster main unit to a power source such as a dedicated AC adapter, and turn the power button ON (press and hold).

Press the PAIRING button, and confirm that the indicator blinks blue to indicate that pairing is in progress.

【Image data rewriting (transfer)】

1.Select the device (ePoster with pairing status) to which you want to send image data.

2. Tap “Select Images”.

3.Tap the image to send.

When you have finished selecting, tap “Done” in the lower right corner.

The file name of the image to send are displayed.

To change (add or delete) images to send here, tap the icon (circled in red) in the upper right corner of the screen to return to the image selection.

4.Tap “Settings” and set the “Image rotation” as 90゜ to the right.

5. Tap “Send” to start sending images.

When “Data sending complete” is displayed, sending images is finished.

Once the initial setup such as application installation and pairing is completed, daily updates to the ePoster can be made easily.

In total, there are other four rewriting methods, including using USB memory stick, Windows PC, and digital signage software “e Signage S” (sold separately). This helps you choose whichever system according to your usage environment.

Note: e-Signage S is sold separately.

I also checked the ePoster in various bright places where sunlight shines through, and I experienced its high visibility and felt that it is at a level where it can be used on a daily basis to replace paper printing*3.

Please consider introducing ePoster, a color e-paper display that can maintain its display with “zero power consumption”.

*3 This model is for indoor use only.
