Sharp Introduces Two New XS1 Series-AQUOS LCD TVs at IFA
Sharp Corporation held a press conference on August 28, 2008, the day before IFA, Europe's largest consumer electronics tradeshow, to introduce XS1 Series AQUOS LCD TVs incorporating next-generation LCD panels.
XS1 Series AQUOS LCD TVs feature a new RGB-LED backlight system that delivers amazing image quality with ultimate visibility of deep blacks. Enhanced environmental performance is achieved through a new system designed to lower power consumption by adjusting the screen brightness in response to the brightness of the surrounding environment. And, since the TVs are only one inch (2.3 cm) thick at the thinnest part, Sharp and Pioneer Corporation jointly developed a thin-design speaker system that incorporates Sharp's unique 1-Bit digital amplifier to offer natural, clear sound.
