Sharp Corporation will exhibit*2 at PV EXPO 2025, an international business meeting for solar power generation systems, to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from February 19 (Wed.) to 21 (Fri.), 2025. Booth highlights include Sharp’s proprietary energy solution, called the Eee Connect system, and its LDK+ EV concept model.

Exhibit Highlights

1.Energy ecosystem realized by Eee Connect and LDK+

Visitors can see Sharp’s Eee Connect energy solution system, which makes effective use of electricity by linking residential solar power systems, storage batteries, home appliances, and EVs—which at this exhibit will be the Sharp-developed LDK+ EV concept car. In the very near future, this energy management system connecting a home and an EV will offer AI-controlled electricity savings and greater resilience in the face of power outages and other emergencies.

2.Perovskite solar cells

Perovskite solar cells hold promise as a leading next-generation solar cell. Part of the Sharp exhibit will be these cells installed on the roof of the LDK+ concept EV. Sharp is currently developing crystalline silicon–perovskite tandem solar cells offering high conversion efficiency. This development is aimed for proposal to new markets and see practical application in areas that include building roofs with limited installation space, mobile devices, cars, and digital signage.

3.Corporate solar energy solutions

Sharp will introduce solutions for in-house energy consumption that help companies decarbonize their operations. These include offering tailor-made energy support and proposals for boosting power generation by replacing power conditioners.
