Sharp Corporation introduces the smartphone AQUOS wish5 as a global model*2. It will be released in Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore from late June this year. This model aims to achieve usability that is "just right" for a wide range of users.

This device features a security alert function that is activated by vibration, a first for smartphones. Simply shaking the device will trigger a loud alarm and automatically call pre-registered contacts to inform them of the emergency. It will also send location information simultaneously. This function responds even when the smartphone is stored in a bag or backpack, ensuring immediate notifications in case of emergencies. Additionally, an AI-powered phone assistant function is included, which analyzes call content to block suspicious calls, providing enhanced peace of mind.

Furthermore, AQUOS wish5 is equipped with a large display of approximately 6.6-inch size. With 120-Hz high-speed driving support and improved brightness, the display provides smoother and brighter visibility.
