    Sharp’s booth exhibited at CEATEC 2025 received Excellence Award at “CEATEC 2025 Eco & Design Challenge.”

    CEATEC 2025 Eco & Design Challenge is a newly established evaluation program launched by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA), in collaboration with the Japan Association for the Promotion of Creative Events (JACE). The program targeted companies and organizations exhibiting at CEATEC 2025 and aims to promote the creation of exhibition booths that excel in sustainability and creativity. By pursuing exhibition formats that are sustainable and appealing for a future society and encouraging the creation of spaces that inspire excitement among visitors, the initiative seeks to contribute to the creation and development of new value and markets, thereby further invigorating industry as a whole.

    <Comments from the Jury>

    The booth was composed of two zones—“Work” and “Living”—clearly conveying how technology contributes to everyday life. The courteous explanations provided by booth staff made the exhibition easy to understand for a wide range of visitors, including students. The use of lightweight, compact, and easily storable molo furniture created a soft visual impression while also improving transportation efficiency. The booth design was also highly regarded for its reproducibility, as it can be applied to other exhibitions and events. In addition, the incorporation of sustainability criteria in supplier selection, as well as the visible sustainability initiatives undertaken by exhibitors, designers, constructors, and operators, were recognized as key evaluation points.

    For this exhibition, Sharp selected event materials with a low environmental impact, such as recycled plastics, resulting in a resource circulation rate of approximately 74% for booth materials. CO2 emissions were also reduced through shorter transportation distances and more efficient loading and collection. Sharp has long been committed to waste reduction by reusing exhibition fixtures, such as display stands, in showrooms and at other exhibitions after events.

    These initiatives to reduce environmental impact are being promoted in collaboration with multiple partner companies, and Sharp will continue to proactively advance such efforts going forward.
