▲ AQUOS sense10, awarded first place in the Midrange Category
In ITmedia Mobile's “Smartphone of the Year 2025” —which selects the best smartphones released between January 1 and mid-December 2025 in Japan—Sharp's AQUOS sense10 has been awarded first place in the Midrange Category.
This marks the fourth consecutive year since 2022 that AQUOS sense series has received an award in Smartphone of the Year.
Smartphone of the Year 2025 is determined by a panel of judges* who are active at ITmedia and other media outlets and who have covered the mobile phone industry throughout the year. From a list of pre-selected candidate models, the judges nominate the top five devices and allocate up to 25 points each for both the High-End and Midrange categories to decide the winners.
AQUOS sense10 received high praise, with judges commenting that:
- "Although the series could almost be considered a 'hall of fame'entrant, usability has been further enhanced, such as by the Vocalist feature that makes call audio clearer, and the company has shown strong commitment to expanding peripheral accessories."
- "Despite maintaining the same price point, the camera experience has been carefully refined."
- "The overall level of completeness is outstanding, and the AI features—led by the Vocalist function—demonstrate a strong focus on user needs."
