The informational magazine “GetNavi,” published by One Publishing Co., Ltd., its web media “GetNavi web,” and “KADEN Watch,” a website offering information on home appliances and daily living operated by Impress Co., Ltd., jointly held the “Home Appliance Awards 2025-2026” in Japan. At the awards, Sharp’s Plasmacluster Humidifying Air Purifier <KI-UX100> won the Gold Award in the Air Purifier category, while the Plasmacluster Circulator <PK-18S02> won the Gold Award in the Fan/Circulator category. In addition, two Sharp products received Silver Awards and one product received a Bronze Award.
Now in its 11th year, the “Home Appliance Awards” is a comprehensive home appliance award that selects the representative home appliances of the year. This year, a total of 151 products across 20 categories were nominated, and the Grand Prix, category awards, and Special Awards selected by experts were determined through reader voting, which was conducted from November 21, 2025 to January 5, 2026.
On March 10, the award ceremony was held at the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center (Minato-ku, Tokyo). Yoshiaki Fukuda, Associate Manager, PCI Product Planning Division – Japan, Plasmacluster･Healthcare Business Unit, Smart Appliances & Solutions BU, attended the ceremony.

Plasmacluster Humidifying Air Purifier <KI-UX100>
We are truly grateful that the Humidifying Air Purifier <KI-UX100> has received the Gold Award.
Air purifiers are expected to provide high dust-collection performance against viruses, dust, pollen, allergens, and other airborne substances. At the same time, because air is invisible, some customers have said that it can be difficult to feel the effects.
This model combines sensor information with Sharp’s proprietary algorithm to calculate the number of fine particles, achieving the industry’s first*1 visualization of the number of indoor particles. This allows users to intuitively understand, in numerical form, how clean the air has become.
Customers have commented that “it is easy to understand, through numerical values, how the air is becoming cleaner.” In addition to the high air purification performance delivered by Sharp’s proprietary “Plasmacluster NEXT” technology, we will continue to pursue product development that goes one step further by offering value that enables customers to truly “feel” the effect.
*1 Among air purifiers for home use in the Japanese market, this refers to the feature that displays an indication of the indoor particle count on the unit itself. Based on the KI-TX100/TX75 models launched in September 2024.
“Plasmacluster Circulator” <PK-18S02>
We are very honored to receive the Gold Award for the second consecutive year.
Circulators are often used together with air conditioners in living rooms and other living spaces. As such, they are products that require both high airflow to circulate air throughout a large space and small operating sound that does not disturb family relaxation. To meet these demands, we focused on the flight of owls, which glide silently through the air, and applied biomimetics to achieve these seemingly conflicting performance requirements at a high level.
Customers who have actually used the product have commented that it offers powerful yet small operating sound and that the enveloping airflow feels comfortable.
The product is also equipped with Sharp’s proprietary Plasmacluster NEXT technology, which helps reduce unpleasant odors from indoor-dried laundry. In addition, its soft body shape that blends naturally with interior spaces and its fabric-like design have also been highly praised. We are sincerely pleased that this product can contribute to a more comfortable and pleasant lifestyle.
