Specific applications such as Notepad, Paint may not apply the Authentication Information of printer driver registered in the Control Panel / Settings of Windows OS. Or, the other applications may not apply the Authentication Information registered in the specific applications.　 (Tips No.01923)

This phenomenon is caused by the specifications of Windows OS and the applications. If this phenomenon is occurred, please register the Authentication Information by each application.

Procedure

The following procedure is an example of registration process by Notepad:

1. Open “Printing Preferences” by Notepad.

2. Enable [Auto Job Control Review] check box from [Job Handling] tab.

3. Press [OK] to close “Printing Preferences” then perform to print.

4. [Job Handling] dialogue will be displayed, chose the authentication type from “Authentication” list and enter the necessary information.

5. Enable any items ([Always use this ***]) and then press [OK] to print.

6. Open “Printing Preferences” by Notepad to confirm that the settings are registered correctly.

If you would like to change the registered Authentication Information, please follow the above steps again.
