TURNING ON THE POWER
This section describes how to turn on/off the machine's
power and how to restart the machine.
Operate two power switches: the main power switch is located
on the left side of the machine, and the [Power] button on
the operation panel.
Caution
- When
turning off the main power switch, be sure to press the [Power]
button on the operation panel, tap the [Power Off] key on the touch
panel, confirm that the touch panel screen display has disappeared,
and turn the main power switch to the "
" position.
- When turning
off the main power switch, press the [Power] button on the operation
panel and then turn the main power switch to the "
" position.
In a sudden
case of main power outage, turn the power for the machine back on
and then turn it off in the correct order.
If the
machine is left for a long time with the main power having been
turned off prior to the [Power] button being turned off, abnormal
noises, degraded image quality or other problems may result.
- Turn off
both the [Power] button and the main power switch and unplug the
power cord if you suspect a machine failure, if there is a bad thunderstorm
nearby, or when you are moving the machine.
- When specifying the time in the firmware
update, o not turn it off, and keep it in the standby mode using
the power save mode.
- In order for some settings to take effect,
the machine must be restarted. Depending on the condition of the
machine, the settings may not be activated by rebooting with the
[Power] button. In this case, turn off the main power switch and
then turn it on again.
- Immediately after turning on the power
or immediately after returning from sleep mode, printing and other
operations are temporarily unavailable on the machine for a period
of time to allow the machine to print properly. This is called warm-up.
TURNING ON THE POWER
- Turn the main power switch
to the "
" position.
- When the main power indicator
lights in blue, press the [Power] button.
TURNING OFF THE POWER
After pressing the [Power] button, tap the
[Power Off] key on the touch.
To turn off the power for a long time, press the [Power] button
to turn off the power, and after the screen display on the touch
panel disappears, set the main power switch to the "
" position.
RESTART THE MACHINE
Press the [Power] button to turn off the
power, and then tap the [Power Off] key on the touch panel. After
that, press the [Power] button again to turn on the power.
TURN ON POWER SAVE MODE
This function is used to switch the machine to the power saving mode of the power saving function.
After pressing the [Power] button, tap the [Power Off] key on the touch panel to shift the machine into the power saving mode.
